The Greek Drama Reader

How to search

Type Greek, English, or both, and press Search. Back to the search

The controls

All words, Any of them, Exact phrase
Every word you typed, at least one of them, or all of them together in the order typed. The Greek and the English each have their own.
Any form of the word, Only as typed
Any form of the word matches every inflected form of its headword; Only as typed matches the word only as written.
Accents ignored, Accents matter
Accents matter: λόγος and λογός become different queries, and a query typed without accents then matches only unaccented words.
A Greek text
An edition applies to Greek-only searches, in the plays that hold it.
Wildcard
Use * for a wildcard: fron* matches φρόνησις, φρόνιμος, etc.
LSJ
After a search for any form of a word, the headwords it matched.
Together
With both boxes filled: lines where both the Greek and the English match, or lines where either does.
In
Every play, one author's plays, or the plays you choose.
